Friends of Oscar Bach

Greetings from the Friends of Oscar Bach and welcome to the Oscar Bach Site.

The site is dedicated to the life and work of German-American metal craftsman, Oscar Bruno Bach (1884-1957).  Information about Bach is very scarce and what is available is widely scattered.  The information on this site is the result of ongoing collaboration among decorative arts scholars, private collectors, members of the museum community and the antique trade, metalcraft and Art Deco enthusiasts, artisans and conservators who are cooperatively known as Friends of Oscar Bach.

Click here to see a list of Friends of Oscar Bach members. Friends of Oscar Bach invite you to join in the gathering and sharing of information. We will be happy to chronicle and display any material— pictures, new articles, publications— anything you may have that is relevant to Bach’s life and work. Please Contact us if you wish to join the Friends of Oscar Bach or have any questions about Oscar Bach.

Friends of Oscar Bach would like to thank everyone who has provided information, services, photographs and related material about Oscar Bach.  His work and life reveal a bountiful and rich history of metalcraft as one of many burgeoning artforms in early 20th-century America.

Please sign our Guest Book and remember to visit the site again. We strive to post new information as often as possible. We hope to hear from you.
